Our studio is only half a mile from the Carlsbad Village, nestled between 2 Oceanside gems, Cream of the Crop and Surfride. The renovation of this space was done almost entirely with re-purposed materials. The artistic feel of Xtend Barre By the Sea is a perfect fit for the South O neighborhood.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out a short waiver and to take a look around the studio. Wear clothes that allow you to bend and move freely in and that you don’t mind getting a bit sweaty. You’ll definitely want a pair of grippy socks, which you can purchase online or at the studio.

Originally from Sydney, Australia, Bronwen has over a decade of experience teaching in the fitness industry. Bronwen has appeared in fitness DVD’s, presented at fitness conventions and has enjoyed a career helping women achieve confidence and strength through exercise. She’s enjoyed a career in musical theater, television and stand-up comedy, so her classes will have you laughing and learning not only how we do it, but why.
Her zeal for teaching and passion for health and wellness, as well as good old Aussie charm will provide you with a challenging work out that you will actually enjoy!

Keri is a Southern California native and active mother of two. She grew up studying ballet and loved the grace and posture that it taught her at a young age. Keri danced and cheered throughout her high school years and then became an avid golfer while attending the University of Utah where she received her B.S. in Finance. After years of practicing Pilates and becoming mat Pilates certified, she was introduced to Xtend Barre® and instantly knew it was what she wanted to be a part of.
Keri is now the proud owner of 3 Xtend Barre studios.
Born and raised in Carlsbad, Stephanie has been an athlete and dancer almost her entire life. Along with pursuing a teaching degree at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, she joined the dance company on campus. “I have been teaching elementary school for eight years at the 2nd grade level. I have always lived an active lifestyle. While searching for a new work out, I found Xtend Barre. After realizing how much I missed dancing, Xtend Barre has fulfilled my craving for a great, total body/toning exercise with dance highlights.”
Born and raised in sunny San Diego, Hillary started training in classical ballet when she was just 5 years old. Years (many years) later, Hillary was looking for a workout that was effective, sassy, and incorporated her love of ballet. Xtend Barre was the perfect fit. Hillary’s favorite exercise is by far Fold Over because it burns and gives you that smiling booty. When she’s not teaching or taking Xtend classes, you can find Hillary changing her hair color or hanging out with her cat, Vader.
Originally from Sydney, Australia, Emma has performed in theatrical productions worldwide and was nominated for best lead performer for her role of Roxie Hart in ‘Chicago’. An alumni Charger Girl, Emma was recently chosen to represent the NFL in London to tour the UK. A mom to be, Emma is the Xtend Barre Teacher Trainer for the West Coast and loves to travel the country inspiring others with her humor and passion for this beautiful workout program.
Growing up in Southern California, Sara Yasuda always had a passion for dance. In 2013, she became comprehensively certified in the BASI Pilates method and is loving bringing a stronger foundation to her Xtend Barre classes. Sara believes Xtend is the perfect marriage between dance and pilates, she is a teacher trainer for the program and loves the results Xtend Barre will bring to your body!
Alyssa danced as a professional ballerina with Ballet Magnificat for 9 years. Always a lover of health and fitness, she became certified as a personal trainer and continues to instruct in ballet. Alyssa’s passions are united in Xtend Barre—the perfect combination of dance and fitness! She loves to keep her clients ‘on their toes’ and encourage them by saying “Yes you can and you will!”
With a love for the studio and theatrical performing, Jessi has danced since she could walk. Her discovery of Xtend Barre was so life transforming that after 3 months she trained to instruct. Two and half years in, Jessi still cannot get enough of Xtend Barre! Determined to share her love of dance with all she meets, Jessi finds joy in bringing the beauty, grace and strength of Xtend to women of all ages, shapes and levels of fitness. She cannot wait to have you in class!
A San Diego native, France-Marie grew up as a serious bun-head ballerina. At 19 France-Marie began her life as a professional and performed in venues around the US. After dancing she discovered Xtend Barre and become addicted to the workout. It wasn’t long before she decided to become an instructor. France-Marie loves to bring her classical ballet knowledge and passion for a healthy lifestyle to clients of Xtend Barre.
Originally from New Jersey, now loving San Diego, Chelsea has been a dancer, cheerleader and fitness coach for the past ten years. TRX certified and lover of the Xtend Barre method, Chelsea is passionate about inspiring women to enhance the love they have for their health and their bodies. Chelsea’s philosophy at the barre is “you’re stronger than you think you are… breathe into your fitness goals!” Her Xtend favorites include ballet lunges and sexy hip-circles!
Mandi is a San Diego native and has been dancing since the age of 4. Her dance history of ballet, tap, jazz and modern led her to teaching hip hop dance from her late teens to early twenties. The love of dance and choreography ignited the desire for leading active and healthy lifestyle. Encouraged by her passion for fitness Mandi had been constantly challenging herself with various forms of exercise, including: Boot Camp, Pilates, Cylcling, Weight Training, Running, Zumba, Yoga, and more before being introduced to Xtend Barre Fitness. From Mandi’s first class she found herself in by far the most physically rewarding place of fitness. In seeing amazing physical results within the first two months, Mandi knew that she wanted to be a part of the Xtend Barre Team to inspire and help others achieve their optimal fitness goals.
