Kayla Russo

Kayla Russo is originally from Patterson, Louisiana and has been living in Lafayette since 2010. She graduated from UL in 2013 where she received a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Design and Merchandising with a Business Marketing Minor. Kayla has been dancing since the age of two and has been a dance instructor/choreographer since 2009. She has danced competitively over the years where she has traveled to New York and California to dance for competitions and take classes. She is a full time instructor/choreographer at Elite Dance Force in New Iberia, Louisiana. Dance is her life and with the dream of pursing a career in dance and fitness she knew that becoming an Xtend Barre instructor would help make that dream come true. “It is hard for me to find a passion to workout at a gym being a dancer. No matter what workout I do it would never leave me satisfied and fulfilled like dance would. I am in love with the Xtend Barre workout because the root is stemmed from ballet and Pilates yet it incorporates weights and movements that conclude an amazing workout. It works out the right parts of the body for a lean, muscular tone and has made me a stronger dancer.”
