A note from the studio owner

I opened Xtend Barre Portland to share my passion for health and fitness through one of the most effective and safest workouts, Xtend Barre. I wanted to create a workout environment where all clients feel welcome, excited to workout, and challenged, and they leave feeling inspired and confident. Xtend Barre PDX is a community within a community where staff and clients support, encourage, and empower one another to work our hardest and feel our best, inside and out.

Originally from New Jersey, Jessica discovered Pilates and Xtend Barre in Washington, DC, where she became an instructor before moving to Portland to open Xtend Barre Portland. Xtend has toned her body and increased her endurance in other fitness activities. Her favorite exercises to teach are those with maximum core training, and she’s known for her killer arm series! Jessica loves dogs, running, hiking, HGTV, coffee, and a good laugh.

She found Xtend Barre Portland in 2013 and has been earning the lengthening and strengthening benefits of Xtending ever since. The combination of the faster paced, ballet inspired cardio with the smaller, deep muscle movements is what motivated her to include Xtend Barre as a permanent player in her fitness routine. In Katie’s classes you can expect a heart pumping workout with plenty of muscle quaking reps. Away from the barre, you’ll likely find her enjoying the outdoors with her husband and two kids.
