About the studio

Located at the base of the Wasatch Mountains near Provo Canyon, our studio will allow you to enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains while you work out. Xtend Barre is located in The Shops at Riverwoods, Utah’s premier community gathering locations for shopping, dining and entertainment….and now fitness! Our studio’s super chic interior and warm, inviting Xtend Barre team help to create a sanctuary for escaping daily stressors and having fun while you get your sweat on. Our retail area offers fitness apparel from the hottest fitness fashion lines because it never hurts to look good while you work out! Our studio offers daycare with reservations for children of all ages, so cross that excuse off the list and come meet us at the barre today.

Before Your First Class…

New clients must fill out their liability waiver form before their first class. Grippy socks are required. Feel free to bring your own or buy a pair from us. Don’t be late. If you’re more than 10 minutes late, we can’t let you into the class. No mobile phones permitted in the studio. Please inform your instructor if you are pre/post-natal or have any pre-existing medical conditions. If you need to cancel your reservation, please note your studio’s cancellation policy in order to avoid being charged a late fee. You may cancel online or by using the Xtend Barre app. Email and phone cancellations are not accepted.

Meet our instructors

Keri McGuire

Keri grew up studying ballet and loved the grace and posture that it taught her at a young age. Keri danced and cheered throughout her high school years and then became an avid golfer while attending the University of Utah where she received her B.S. in Finance. After years of practicing Pilates and becoming mat Pilates certified, she was introduced to Xtend Barre®. Keri is now the proud owner of 3 Xtend Barre studios.

Marie Lloyd

Marie is a native of the North shores of Oahu, Hawaii. She grew up having a passion for various types of dancing, music, singing and endless outdoor activities. She was first introduced to Xtend Barre by friends when the Salt Lake City studio opened its’ doors in 2010. Being a former aerobics Instructor and choreographer in dance and cheerleading, she felt the focus and movement of the Xtend Barre work out came natural to her and knew she was in it for the long term. Marie currently resides in Salt Lake City with her husband and two fun loving children and is looking forward to providing quality Xtend Barre experiences to both new and existing clients out in Utah County.

Jacinth Bybee

Jacinth is a Colorado native who moved to Utah to attend Brigham Young University where she majored in Exercise and Wellness. While growing up she always lived a very active lifestyle with a love for figure skating, volleyball, and swimming. After moving to Utah she began taking fitness classes at a local gym and attended a mat Pilates class, this is where her love for Pilates began. Since that first mat class she has taken many reformer classes and has been classically trained for the last year and a half. Jacinth loves the 55 min. combination of Pilates, cardio and dance that Xtend Barre offers, and most of all she loves the results. Her passion for fitness, nutrition and teaching will light a spark in others and help people achieve their fitness goals. Now a permanent Utah resident Jacinth is excited to help introduce Xtend Barre to Utah Valley.

Stacy Goulding

Stacy’s passion for health and fitness started at a young age while being heavily involved in dance and cross-training with kickboxing, yoga, and pilates. She received ballet scholarships from Utah Valley University and graduated in Health Education. Stacy has taught dance for over ten years and enjoys Xtend Barre because it provides a total body workout in 55 minutes. Additionally, Stacy teaches at a local high school for at-risk youth.

Amy Sanders

Amy Sanders has been in the fitness industry teaching multiple formats for over 14 years. She has a total passion for fitness and loves seeing bodies change. Amy says she’s seen first hand how bodies change faster at Xtend than any other format she’s taught, which really excites her! As a mother of 3 children, she knows how hard it can be to get that pre-baby body back. She loves Xtend and what it does for others. Her favorite exercise at Xtend is chair. It burns SO good! Come join her and her enthusiasm for fitness at the barre!

Rachel Parkinson

Rachel has a strong background in dance, and performed for the Disney Company for many years. After moving to Utah, she found and fell in love with Xtend Barre’s challenging, fun workout. Being able to use her dance training in a fitness class was not only physically challenging, but emotionally fulfilling as well! Rachel loves teaching at Xtend Barre and inspiring other to live happy, balanced lives.

Taryn Maughan

Having dedicated over 10 years to the health and wellness industry and being a dedicated Xtend Barre client since the grand opening, Taryn is now excited to be a part of the Xtend Barre team! She is always enthusiastic and eager to apply her knowledge and expertise towards helping others succeed in the path to wellness.

Meredith Clark

Meredith is a native of the Washington, DC suburbs and grew up swimming competitively, doing gymnastics, cheerleading, acting, dancing, and singing. In High School she spent all of her energy on any type of musical production there. In 2008 Meredith attended Utah Valley University with a focus on Exercise Science and certified to teach Zumba. She fell in love with Xtend Barre and has worked for two years at the Salt Lake City location as a receptionist. As well as a Pilates obsession she enjoys hiking all over Utah and running, though can never get enough Barre and has been hooked for 4 years now!

Brittany Starnes

Mother of two, grew up dancing and has a passion for health and fitness. Tried Xtend Barre for the first time when my daughter was 9 months old, I needed to do something for myself. I was immediately hooked! I’m so inspired by all the incredible xtend barre instructors and I hope to be able to motivate and inspire others as well, while having fun, feeling good and doing something great for myself!

Emily Brady

As a Utah native, Emily enjoys taking advantage of the beautiful outdoors with her young family. Backpacking, hiking and on occasion rock climbing are a few of her favorite ways to stay active. Emily cultivated her athleticism by playing tennis, volleyball and in her early years became passionate about dance. She began dancing competitively at a local studio, traveling, performing and getting her first taste of ballet. Once becoming a mother of two, Emily sought out a way to reignite her passion for dance while gaining control over her mind and body once again. After taking her first Xtend Barre class, her excitement for fitness returned as she couldn’t get enough of the head to toe results. She hopes to share her passion for Xtend Barre with YOU!

Jamie Hansen

Jamie has always had a passion for all things health and fitness. She was introduced to Xtend Barre a shortly after having her first child and fell in love. It was the combination of everything she was looking for in the hour a day she had for herself. A few months after Xtend Barre Provo opened, and seeing her body change by losing 10 inches in 2 weeks, she knew she had to become an instructor.  You can be sure to get a fun, energetic, and challenging class with Jamie. She looks forward to her escape to the Barre every week with all the clients she loves that have become her friends. Jamie is also Xtend Barre Stick certifies and loves teaching Xtend Stick Fusion!

Alisha Hobbins

I started taking barre classes nearly 4 years ago in addition to my avid love for weight lifting. It not only improved my stamina, but my overall body composition. I fell in love with the Xtend method immediately as it provides the essence of a full body workout. I spent most of my youth and young adult years riding horses competitively and allowed my passion for riding horses carry over to my love for nutrition and fitness. Being healthy, mind, body, and soul, is an essential principle in my everyday life. I am a Southern California girl, born and raised, and in the process of getting my degree in Dietetics and Nutrition. Xtendbarre has allowed me to continue to push myself and perfect my abilities to provide the most effective hour of our clients everyday lives. I am beyond grateful and honored to be apart of this great company and can’t wait to meet you all at the barre!

Sarah Stringham

Sarah has always had a love of all things dance. She danced and tumbled competitively for many years in her youth. She was new to the Salt Lake area and Xtend Barre was just what she was looking for in a workout. She was completely hooked after her first class! She loves that it combines a fun and challenging total body workout with elements of dance. In addition to teaching Xtend Barre Sarah is a teacher at a high school in the area. She loves Xtend Barre and is excited to help others love it as well!

Micah Dykman

Micah Dykman has always been a big fan and lover of being active. Loves music and loves to dance, especially to the beat of her own drum. She discovered Pilates while living in Italy at age 15 and quickly became obsessed with mat Pilates. After returning home to Utah she got her first membership to the gym and fell in love with all group fitness classes. After graduating high school Micah got her first group fitness certification. In the years to come Micah began teaching yoga, Powerflex, and of course Pilates all in hopes of educating and inspiring others to the wonderful benefits of taking care of your body. Micah has now been teaching for more than 15 years and is very excited to add Xtend Barre to her fitness a resume, Xtend Barre is one of the funnest, most effective workouts that there is,  and she hopes to continue to inspire people to be physically active strong and healthy with a lot of fun and great music too!
