All ages, sizes and genders are welcome, no tutu is required! We are conveniently located at the Scripps Trident Plaza on the corner of Scripps Poway Parkway and Pomerado Road. New clients must fill out their liability waiver form before their first class. Grippy socks are required. Feel free to bring your own or buy a pair from us. Don’t be late. If you’re more than 10 minutes late, we can’t let you into the class. No mobile phones permitted in the studio. Please inform your instructor if you are pre/post-natal or have any pre-existing medical conditions. If you need to cancel your reservation, please note your studio’s cancellation policy in order to avoid being charged a late fee. You may cancel online or by using the Xtend Barre app. Email and phone cancellations are not accepted.
Our team prides ourselves on being welcoming, motivating and results-driven. We want our studio to be a sanctuary for “me time”, where you can escape your daily stressors, get your sweat on and have fun! We invite all new clients to enjoy and introductory class for $10.
Angie is passionate about sharing the Xtend Barre workout, and is the proud owner of two Xtend Barre studios, Poway, CA and Rochester Hills, MI. As A former competitive dancer, Angie connected with the music, energy, and fast pace of Xtend Barre. She is a busy Mother and business owner, and loves that Xtend Barre combines the graceful elements of dance with the principles of strength and safety in Pilates, for a full body immersion in one hour. Her positive spirit and love for her clients shines in her upbeat and motivating Xtend Barre Classes. She is most proud of not only the amazing results she has seen in hundreds of her clients, but in building strong communities that are filled with support, friendship and fun! Angie also holds a position with the Xtend Barre corporate team as Marketing Director.
Sara Peelle, co-owner of Xtend Barre Beaverton and Xtend Barre Scripps Poway, is a devoted mother of three with a passion for promoting an active and healthy lifestyle. The Oregon-born native graduated from the University of Oregon with her B.S. in General Science and went on to earn a doctorate in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University. She loves teaching Xtend Barre and loves the workout. Since starting Xtend Barre, Sara qualified for the Boston marathon and was able to reach her fastest time in 7 marathons. She credits this to Xtend Barre’s muscle elongating, fat burning, and muscle toning capabilities, which are not inherent in other barre workouts.
Originally from upstate New York, Kristy’s extreme passion for Health and Fitness originated at a very young age. She began dancing at age 3, and has over 15 years of dance experience compiled from Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Lyrical. Both Kristy and her parents were thrilled when she discovered Xtend Barre, so she could put their money to good use influencing others and sharing her love for dance. Kristy’s fun-loving personality and killer classes make them a joy to take, and she may even make you laugh with ridiculous thoughts as you burn through her workout!
Vicki is a Southern California native and a busy mother of 2 little girls. After having children, Vicki had been looking for new and exciting ways to stay fit. Her search ended in 2010 when she was introduced to Xtend Barre. “The classes are extremely challenging and I was sore in places I didn’t even know I had muscles!” She is so excited to be teaching Xtend Barre, where the clients and instructors are like a second family. Vicki loves being able to motivate the clients and strives to give them the best workout possible.
After years of training in many different fitness genres, Karlee found her passion with Xtend Barre. She was thrilled with the results after attending classes regularly for just a few months. Karlee balances a career in the magazine industry and the joyous demands that come with being a mother of two. She appreciates the total body workout Xtend Barre provides in only 55 minutes. Karlee is dedicated, fun-loving and strives to empower her clients.
Summer grew up in dance studios and on theater stages. She performed professionally as a musical theater actress on the east coast, but eventually moved back to San Diego where she married her high school sweetheart. She maintains her love of dance & theater, and also loves running (full and half marathon distances), sprint triathlons, hiking, indoor rock climbing, and chasing after her young son, Kyle! Summer appreciates the TOTAL body workout that Xtend Barre provides in a 55-minute class!
Elizabeth recently moved to San Diego to pursue her doctorate in physical therapy and was thrilled to join the talented group of women on the Scripps Poway team. Ever since her mother took her to a Jazzercise class when she was eleven, she has been addicted to group fitness, and is certified in Yoga, Zumba, Pilates, Spinning, and, of course, Xtend Barre. Well-versed in anatomy, biomechanics, and alignment techniques, Elizabeth believes XtendBarre is one of the safest and most effective workouts available and looks forward to recommending it to rehabbing patients.
Kyla found Xtend Barre four years ago after having her first son. Like many women, Kyla was searching for a fun, effective workout that could fit her busy schedule and didn’t break the bank. After just one class, Kyla was hooked; and two months later, she had her pre-baby body back. As the first self-proclaimed “Barre-liever,” Kyla advocates that Xtend Barre is a workout everyone can enjoy and it shows in her classes. Whether you’ve danced professionally or never set foot in a studio, Kyla caters her workout to ensure each client’s experience is a good one. Kyla’s goal: “make everyone a Barre-liever.”
Originally from Sydney, Australia, Emma has performed in theatrical productions worldwide and was nominated for best lead performer in a musical for her role of Roxie Hart in ‘Chicago’. An alumni Charger Girl, Emma was chosen to represent the NFL in London to tour the UK. In 2014 Emma became a mother for the first time to her active son Owen and discovered just how important it is to stay physically and emotionally fit as a new mom. Beyond grateful for this beautiful workout program, Emma is a teacher trainer for Xtend Barre and hopes to encourage her clients and trainees to be the best they can inside and out and smile while sweating!
Amber is a San Diego native. She began dancing at a young age and instantly fell in love! She is grateful for the discipline and commitment she learned through dance and attributes it to her success in many aspects of life. Ultimately it was through dance that she found her passion for fitness. Amber went on to study at San Diego State University. She graduated in 2012 earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and a Minor in Dance. After graduating from college Amber began looking for a fun way to incorporate her two passions of fitness and dance into her life. She found the perfect combination in barre classes. She was instantly hooked to this challenging, yet fun workout that incorporates both cardio and strength training all in one hour. Her favorite thing about Xtend Barre is the strong community of women she has the privilege to teach and work out with. Amber is thrilled to meet you at the barre!
Growing up in Southern California, Sara Yasuda always had a passion for dance. In 2013, she became comprehensively certified in the BASI Pilates method and is loving bringing a stronger foundation to her Xtend Barre classes. Sara believes Xtend is the perfect marriage between dance and pilates, she is a teacher trainer for the program and loves the results Xtend Barre will bring to your body!
Sarah’s love of dance began at the early age of 3 when she took up Ballet, Tap and Jazz. She later added Tahitian, Poi, and Hula to her list of interests and became Dance Captain of her High School’s Advanced Dance Team. After High School Sarah taught Private Studio lessons in Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Hip Hop in addition to Choreographing dozens of musical theater shows and show choir performances for local Youth Theaters and middle schools/high schools. Sarah later received her Bachelors in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Education from Cal State University San Marcos which helped her further explore the science behind fitness and how the body reacts to movement and exercise. After College Sarah was offered a role at Disneyland Paris as a Character Performer and Dancer and then she moved back to sunny California and continued her work at Disneyland Anaheim. Her desire for dance, movement and fitness lead Sarah to an Xtend Barre class where she fell in love with the workout for its grace, cardiovascular focus and special attention to technique and ballet fundamentals. “I love how Xtend Barre lets me experience the joy of movement I felt when dancing, but I also get the lengthening benefits of Pilates combined with the cardiovascular and strength training benefits of a full gym workout (without the gym)!”
