Our bright and spacious studio is located in idyllic Brooklyn Heights, one of NYC's most historic neighborhoods. Three sunny classrooms play host to over 60 fun, sweaty and challenging weekly classes. Our class offerings are as diverse as our clients. We offer programs that compliment our signature barre class - including Pilates, TRX, & HIIT training - so that you never get bored, and so that you always see results. We offer specialty classes for the pre & postnatal populations, as well as babysitting services, for busy moms throughout all stages of motherhood. We're conveniently located one block from the Borough Hall subway station (2/3/4/5 & R trains) and a few blocks from the A/C & F trains at Jay Street. Kristine is a Brooklyn native and former Finance geek turned fitness buff. She discovered Xtend Barre in 2010 and knew immediately that it was her golden ticket out of the corporate world. She is a certified Balanced Body Pilates instructor, holds a B.S. in Business from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Stanford University. Kristine’s classes are jam packed with lots of cardio and replete with detailed alignment cues to help her students better understand the movements.
Amber was born and raised in Massachusetts, and has been dancing since the young age of 4. She performed as a soloist for many years across U.S. venues, including Lincoln Center. Now retired from professional dancing, she continues to share her love of ballet and dance through teaching and choreography. Amber recently completed her BASI Pilates mat certification to round out her hard core dance background. Amber’s classes are intense, exhilarating and above all, fun!
Nicole is from upstate NY and studied Dance and Marketing at SUNY Buffalo. She’s been teaching, choreographing and performing since college, including stints in Vegas, China and on Carnival Cruise Lines. Nicole completed a BASI Pilates mat certification in 2017 to round out her already diverse resume. She delivers a well-rounded and seamless class that draws upon her eclectic background and her passion for dance, music, fitness, and mind body wellness.
Chelsea is originally from a small town in New Hampshire. Here in NYC, she works as a contemporary dancer and fitness instructor, and also dabbles in a cabaret/burlesque! She has a double degree in Dance & Performance Studies and PR from Roger Williams University. Outside of dancing and teaching, Chelsea enjoys playing old-school arcade games, crafting, and antiquing. Chelsea is a spunky, upbeat, energetic instructor who will lead you through class with a commanding but supportive energy that will push you to want to do your best.
Originally from Cleveland, Jaimie came to NYC after receiving her BFA in Musical Theatre from Syracuse University. She also holds a Masters in Childhood Special Education from Fordham University and currently works as a special education teacher in Brooklyn. Additionally, Jaimie holds a 200-hour yoga teacher certification. Jaimie brings her fun and peppy personality to the barre, where she pays close attention to alignment, breath, good music, and most importantly, having fun.
Kelsey hails from the Texas Hill country and found her way to NYC after working as a professional dancer, performing in over 10 countries. She recently completed her undergraduate degree and is working for a wealth management firm in Manhattan. Her free time is spent performing part-time with a contemporary ballet company and teaching at Xtend! Kelsey exudes a sweet, southern charm while she works you! You may even hear an occasional “y’all” slip out.
Born and raised in Minneapolis, Hannah moved to NYC in 2016 to pursue a career in musical theater after earning a BFA in musical theater performance from The University of Michigan. She’s a Balanced Body certified Pilates instructor and has fallen madly in love with Xtend Barre. Standing at 6′ tall, Hannah is a vivacious, positive and encouraging instructor with a strong presence and a warm and welcoming energy.
Born in northern California and raised in the French countryside, Juliette made the big move to NYC in 2013 to fulfill a lifelong dream of living in the Big Apple. She is a certified Pilates mat instructor and a trained dancer, hence her love for Xtend which draws from both disciplines. Jules has studied jazz and is a lover of all things music. Despite her refreshingly chill personality and laid-back demeanor, expect a strong, solid, challenging and well-rounded class.
Jordan grew up dancing from age two and hasn’t let her feet stop moving since. She discovered Xtend Barre through an childhood dance teacher, found it fulfilled her love for dance and was the most fun workout she’d ever tried! A SoCal gal at heart, she moved from San Diego in 2015 and found her way to the big city to work in the field of Public Relations. She’s so excited and grateful to have the opportunity to share her passion for Xtend Barre from coast to coast!
Originally from South Florida, Brittany moved to NYC to pursue a BFA in Commercial Dance at Pace University. Her performance career has taken her to over 80 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada, spanning Musical Theater, TV, and Film. Brittany absolutely loves being part of the Xtend Barre BK team and community (thanks to her fellow instructor Hannah for the intro!) and can promise you a class that leaves you sweating, shaking, and maybe even giggling.
Born and raised in Ann Arbor, Claire studied Dance & Movement Science at nearby University of Michigan. After graduating in 2017, she relocated to NYC to work as a freelance dancer. Claire joins the Xtend Brooklyn teaching team already an ACE-certified personal trainer & a TRX-certified trainer. Claire is sweet, upbeat and positive as she leads you through a strong and flowing class.
Natalia is originally from Poland but has called NYC home since 2006. A lifelong dancer and athlete, Natalia completed 3 years of intensive training in ballet, contemporary, jazz and modern dance at the world-renowned Peridance Capezio Center in Manhattan. More recently, Natalia developed an interest in fitness, and pursued teaching as an outlet to share her enthusiasm and passion with others. Natalia is incredibly upbeat and positive as she guides you through a tough but fun workout.
Narissa’s working up a sweat in New York, but she’s originally from Las Vegas, NV. Having been active all her life through dance and fitness, when she continued to get injured she knew something had to give. That’s when she came into Pilates and barre and quickly fell in love with both. She believes fitness can be fun and life-changing and as an instructor values the bond that can be formed with the client, in a fun, supportive and high-energy environment.
