Natasha is our Canberra Studio Director and Business Owner. She has a strong background in dance, namely classical ballet, which began when she was introduced to the dance world at age three. Natasha later studied at the Queensland Dance School of Excellence and has performed with the Queensland Ballet Theatre and the Queensland Ballet Company.
Early in her dance career, an ankle injury forced Natasha to move in a different direction and she travelled back to her birthplace in London, where she carved out a career for herself managing high-end restaurants for 11 years. During that period Natasha also returned to her movement roots and obtained her Cert III and Cert IV in Fitness.
Following the birth of her first child, Natasha relocated to Canberra with her family where she discovered Xtend Barre via a Facebook post! A good ex-dancing friend of hers had written about attending Xtend Barre classes in Melbourne… Armed with the knowledge that there were no Xtend Barre classes offered in Canberra, Natasha set about making it her personal mission to train as an instructor in Sydney and to open the ACT’s first free-standing Xtend Barre studio!
Natasha has personally experienced the dramatic results that the Xtend Barre workout can deliver, stripping her post pregnancy weight and returning her body to the strength and tone she once knew as a dancer. She looks forward to sharing this experience with our clients in Canberra – helping them to achieve their own individual fitness goals. Meet you at the barre!
Lauren is our Canberra Studio Business Manager. Raised in the Shire, Lauren studied classical ballet, contemporary and jazz from a very early age, before training in Melbourne at the National Theatre Ballet School. A dance related injury caused her to reassess her career course. Lauren then spent many years pursuing further study, first in Sydney and later at the University of Canberra, whilst simultaneously building a career for herself in business and client management. Throughout this time Lauren still held a passion for dance and fitness and eventually found her way back to the barre, initially as a client, following Xtend Barre’s launch in Canberra.Whilst rebuilding her strength and flexibility, she fell in love with Xtend Barre’s unique workout and the wonderful community of instructors and clients at our studio. As fate would have it, an opening arose for a Studio Business Manager and Lauren joined our team at Xtend Barre Canberra in early 2016, completing her instructor training just a few months later. Lauren is delighted to be a vital part of our Xtend Barre Canberra family and is very excited to pass on her knowledge and her joy of Xtend Barre to all our clients.
A born and bred Canberran, Fiona began dancing at the age of three. Her passion and talent for ballet soon led her to London, where she studied at the English National Ballet School. After graduating with a Diploma in Classical Ballet, she spent time dancing professionally across Europe, most notably with the English National Ballet Company. Following her move back to Australia, she returned to her roots, teaching at the local ballet school where she first learnt to dance. For Fiona, ever since moving away from ballet as a profession, she has found Xtend Barre is the only workout that engages the same muscles and develops tone, posture and balance the way a ballet class does. Never quite getting what she wanted from gym classes, Xtend Barre’s combination of Pilates conditioning exercises and dance based movements, finally gave Fiona a challenging and enjoyable workout. She now passes on her passion and enthusiasm for Xtend Barre to all who attend her classes.

Cassandra looks forward to helping you find your challenge zone at the barre…
