Xtend Barre Highlands Ranch is a fitness studio conveniently located in the Village Center West Shopping Center in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. You can find us at 3620 East Highlands Ranch Parkway and South University Boulevard. We’re located off of Colorado State Highway 470. Our location is a one stop shop! We’re in the same shopping center as King Soopers with Starbucks, GNC, T.J. Maxx, Baskin Robbins, Firehouse Subs and next to Rubio’s Mexican Grill.
April lived in front of the camera for almost a decade as a news reporter and anchor. On a visit to Nashville, she discovered Xtend Barre and became hooked. April fell in love with it so much that she stopped working in news and moved to Colorado to open a studio in Highlands Ranch. April says, “It’s a great combination of sculpting and cardio, but what makes it so much fun is that you feel beautiful doing this exercise.”
Becky’s love of the arts stemmed from an early age when she began dancing competitively at the age of 7. With a background in everything from Irish step dancing to hip hop, she has since been lovingly passing the skill set and art on to others. Her joy emanates through each student she has the privilege to instruct.
As a Certified Health Counselor (AADP) and Occupational Therapist, nutrition and the ideal lifestyle are integral in Liz’s life. Liz believes that the foundation of health starts with nutrition & movement, having rockin’ relationships, a positive mindset, self-care, and doing what you love every day. When Liz found barre, she was inspired by the fun, challenging, full-body workout and knew she wanted to share this with others!
Christine has had a passion for teaching from a young age. She taught gymnastics to young children at My Gym Children’s Fitness Center and then moved on to teach 2nd grade for 3 years in Maryland. When she moved out to Colorado with her husband, she taught 4th and 5th grade until she had her own two children and decided to stay home with them. Christine was introduced to Xtend Barre as she was searching for a way to lose those extra baby pounds and was instantly hooked! Xtend Barre combines cardio and toning in ways that make exercise fun, yet challenging, and Christine hopes that her enthusiasm for teaching and inspiring others will shine through in her classes.
Nicole is a Denver native and grew up very active enjoying everything the Colorado outdoors have to offer and playing many sports. Dance and cheerleading were the focus of her competitive sports throughout high school and college as she also went on to cheer for the Colorado Rapids. Nicole discovered Xtend Barre after having her second child; instantly she fell in love with the workout and the atmosphere. Nicole is proud to be part of such an uplifting and amazing organization in this community.
Brooke was born and raised in Utah where she grew up always enrolled in some sort of dance class and stayed active on the cheerleading and dance teams. A class environment has always been important to Brooke.
When family introduced her to Xtend Barre in Utah, she was immediately hooked! She loved the challenge and diversity in each class. Xtend Barre was like nothing she’s ever done before. Once she moved to Colorado, she discovered there is an Xtend Barre close to her new home. Shortly after the move she went through instructor training and is so excited to be a part of this amazing Xtend family.
Originally from Georgia, Kristina grew up studying classical ballet and participating in cheerleading, yoga and Pilates. With a love for the graceful art form of ballet, she continued to dance through college, earning a minor in dance. She moved to Colorado to pursue a Master’s in Sports Nutrition and now, as a Registered Dietitian, she is excited to share her passion for health and fitness as an Xtend Barre instructor.
Cathy came to Xtend Barre from the world of corporate finance, during which she considered competitive road cycling her “second job.” She is a 3-time Colorado State Champion in the time trial and enjoyed racing at the elite level at bike races all around the country. Cathy has also been a lifelong runner, having competed in both track and cross-country in high school. She sought out Xtend Barre to focus on strengthening and balance and has been hooked ever since! Cathy’s goal is to bring her enthusiasm and love for Xtend Barre to each client who walks into the studio, and to go above and beyond to help each person reach his or her fitness goals.
Originally from Salt Lake City, UT, Serita has had a passion for dance ever since she was a little girl. Her professional dance career began when she auditioned for, and became, a member of the Utah Jazz Dancers in the NBA. After one season, she decided to pursue her childhood goal of dancing in the NFL. There isn’t any better team in the NFL than the Denver Broncos! In 2005, she traveled to Denver to pursue this dream, which became a reality, and she spent 6 seasons as a Denver Broncos Cheerleader. Her dedication and devotion for dance, performing, coaching children and entertaining our troops has wholly contributed to who she is today. Serita fell in love with Xtend Barre a year and a half ago, and was naturally drawn to the dance and Pilates foundation of the classes.
Born and raised in South Africa, Elwena always had a keen interest in all kinds of arts. She started ballet, music and art training from a young age, but decided to pursue a career in graphic design and photography instead. After college she worked in London for a few years, and moved to Denver in 2006. While doing graphic design work for Xtend Barre’s corporate office she decided to try a few classes herself. She found that this was the perfect combination of dance and fitness. Elwena hopes to share her passion for ballet and a healthy lifestyle with clients of Xtend Barre.
