Racheal has been dancing since she was a young girl in Christchurch. Starting with years of Ballet and Modern Jazz, she discovered partner dancing on moving to Wellington for University and went on to establish Full Swing, one of Wellingtons largest adult dance schools. While travelling in 2012 Racheal found Xtend Barre and loved it! After attending training in Melbourne later that same year, she was absolutely delighted to become New Zealand’s first Xtend Barre instructor and bring the comprehensive programme home to her clients. Her greatest enjoyment has been seeing complete beginners gain a sense of body awareness, strength and control all whilst shaping their bodies. “Dancing is one of the greatest joys of life, a freedom in connecting body, mind and soul that is accessible to everyone. Why would you chose to exercise any other way?”
Sasha was born in Australia (to a kiwi Mum) and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She has spent the last ten years in NZ completing her BA of Design and working for Weta Digital. She stumbled upon Xtend Barre in 2013 looking for a balanced full body workout she could fit into a busy schedule. Xtend Barre met all of her requirements; it was fun, safe, effective and challenged her in a new way. She was instantly hooked. “I felt muscles awaken from hibernation, many I didn’t even know I had!” Ballet was something she always enjoyed as a child but never pursued past her teens. Xtend Barre has reconnected her with ballet, providing a setting where she is able to develop her form and technique, while still getting a great workout. Sasha is really excited about seeing the positive impact Xtend Barre has on her clients mind and body.
Liz is a performer, teacher and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist; as an actress, one needs to be a chameleon, working from pure intensity to ultimate relaxation. The combination of Xtend Barre and ‘cranio’ offers that for Liz and she’s incredibly fulfilled being able to share both at Xtend Barre Wellington. She loves the challenge, burn, physical transformation and seratonin hit Xtend Barre offers and is compelled to share that feeling with others and loves watching how it transforms their lives for the better.
Stana has a long dance background as both a student and a teacher for 12 years. She loves seeing her clients xtend their limits and perceptions of what their bodies can do in and out of the studio. With a passion for pure joy and moving from a place of connect & love, Stana uses her dance knowledge and theatre training from University to motivate and inspire clients through a sense of play. She is currently a primary school teacher in Plimmerton and is loving learning more about mindfulness and the art of being present.
